Quests (M-P)

Quests are listed in alphabetical order and have been organized into subgroups to make locating them faster and easier. For each quest, I have provided a walk-through, information on the location to start the quest, and a summary of the money/items/Quest Points you will receive as a reward upon completion. Additionally, I have included a list of Items Required for each quest. This is especially helpful if you like to have your supplies on hand ahead of time, and it should prevent a lot of running back and forth. These lists do not, however, make mention of "quest-only" items such as those provided to you by NPCs during the course of the quest, as you do not have to worry about gathering these beforehand.

Please note that this section of the website DOES NOT include mini-game quests (Ant Hills, Sandcastle Moats, Paintings, etc.). These can be found instead under the Mini-Games heading on the navigation menu.

Marisole's New Friend

*You must first complete the quest, Robin's Secret Crush*
  • Location: Paradise Isle
  • Items Required: Daisy Hay Bale (x5),   Bag of Honey Oats (x5)
  • Reward: 100 Quest Points,   Diamond Necklace,   Ruby Necklace

To begin the quest, speak with Marisole in her cabin on Paradise Isle. After carefully evading several of your questions about her heritage, she will eventually tell you that she's recently seen a wild horse wandering on her isle and would like to try to befriend it. Suggest that she attempt to feed the horse to gain its trust. Marisole will ask you to retrieve some special feed from the mainland isles and will give you $3,000 to cover your travel expenses.

You will need to gather 5 Daisy Hay Bales and 5 Bags of Honey Oats. You may get lucky and find these items for sale in a feed store if another player has recently sold them there. Honey Oats can also be obtained very rarely from a Random Event. Otherwise, you will have to craft both kinds of special feed at the Feed Workshop on Hare Isle using a total of 5 Hay Bales, 5 Bags of Oats, 50 Bunches of Daisies, and 50 Honeycombs. Hay Bales can be purchased in several feed stores, including the one in Earton, while Bags of Oats can be purchased from the Wington Feed Store. Bunches of Daisies are sold in unlimited quantity at the Treeton Flower Shop. Unfortunately, you will likely have to gather the Honeycomb from a Bee's Nest mini-game yourself.

Once you have obtained all 10 of the special feed items requested, return them to Marisole in order to complete the quest.

Q: When riding, you sit in this.
A: Saddle

Q: This item of tack cushions your horse's back, absorbing impact from the saddle.
A: Pad- or as they say it in some places, numnah!

Q: This piece of headgear provides communication with your horse's mouth.
A: Bridle

Q: And this metal piece affixes to the bridle; it is the piece that goes in your horse's mouth.
A: Bit

Q: This piece of tack is like a belt around your horse's barrel. It holds the saddle in place.
A: Girth OR Cinch

Q: This leg wrap is used to protect against mild impact. It offers very little support.
A: Polo wrap

Q: If you wanted more impact protection, you would instead use these. They buckle or snap around the legs and can be made either of leather or of synthetic material. This specific type wraps all around the cannon bone.
A: Galloping boots OR Splint boots OR Brushing boots

Q: If you wanted a piece of tack to protect against damage to the coronet band, or to help prevent your horse from stepping on his heels if he steps up well behind, you would use what kind of tack?
A: Bell boots OR Overreach boots

Q: If your horse tends to lift his head to avoid the action of your hands, you might use this piece of tack, which connects to the noseband, to prevent him from doing this.
A: Standing martingale

Q: Now, if you were in a jumper class, or if your horse needed more freedom of motion than a standing martingale provides, you would instead use what related piece of equipment that attaches to the reins?
A: Running martingale

After you've answered these questions, you have technically already completed the quest. However, Miguela will offer to let you try your hand at a bonus question to earn an additional $1,000. Answer her last question as follows:

Q: This piece of equipment is called a martingale as well, but unlike the other styles, it does not help to keep the head down. Instead, it is used to keep the reins on opposite sides of the neck. What is it called?
